FEA Stateside Region–DDESS Classified Master Labor Agreement

The FEA Stateside Region–DDESS Classified Master Labor Agreement sets pay, benefits, job protections, and grievance procedures for classified employees in DoDEA’s U.S. schools.
Published: September 23, 2025

The Classified Master Labor Agreement (MLA) between the FEA Stateside Region and the Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) defines the rights, responsibilities, and working conditions for classified employees in DoDEA’s Stateside schools.

This agreement covers areas such as pay, hours, benefits, job protections, and grievance procedures. It ensures that classified staff—who play an essential role in supporting students and school operations—are treated fairly and have a voice in their workplace.

Together with related Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), the Classified MLA provides stability and safeguards for employees, while supporting strong learning environments for military-connected students.

Members can review the full Classified MLA below and consult with their local FEA leaders for information on any MOUs or additional agreements that apply to their schools.
