Where We Work

FEA is organized into three geographic areas: Europe, Stateside, and Pacific. Each Area is led by an FEA Area Director who coordinates efforts on behalf of members. Within each Area are local organizations and affiliates that serve as the primary point of contact for most members. These locals are the backbone of FEA, providing direct support and connection at the school and installation level.

Stateside

FEA’s Stateside Region represents all schools within the Domestic Dependents Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) system. These schools are located at the following bases: Fort Benning, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, Fort Jackson, Fort Knox, Fort Rucker, Fort Stewart, Dahlgren Naval Surface Warfare Center, Quantico Marine Base, Laurel Bay, Camp Lejeune, Maxwell Air Force Base, and West Point. In addition, the DoD schools at Guam are considered part of FEA’s Stateside Area because they are located on U.S. territory.

FEA’s Stateside Region is overseen by one FEA Director for DDESS and is serviced by two FEA UniServ Attorneys. Each of the locations in the paragraph above elects its own Local President to service members. In addition, separate local organizations specifically for Education Support Professional (ESP) members have been established at several locations.

Europe

FEA represents educators who work in DoDEA Europe schools in these countries: Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands. DoDEA Educators in Europe are serviced by one FEA Area Director and three UniServ Attorneys.

The Europe Area is divided into three FEA Divisions, each served by its own Division Representative. Within each division are the specific military installations and schools where Europe’s Local Presidents and FRS’s can be found.

Pacific

FEA’s Pacific Area includes all Department of Defense schools within Japan, Okinawa and South Korea. Guam, although located in the Pacific, is officially a U.S. territory and therefore a part of FEA’s Stateside Area.

DoDDS educators in FEA’s Pacific Area are serviced by one Area Director and one UniServ Attorney. Japan, Okinawa and South Korea each have their own FEA Associations and Presidents serving each country. In addition, FRS’s and local association presidents can be found at each school and installation within each country.

FEA Washington, DC

In addition to these three Areas, FEA maintains a Washington, D.C. office that supports members across all regions. The FEA President serves all members organization-wide, working alongside staff in the D.C. office to support governance, communications, member services, and organizational operations. Together, this team helps ensure that members across all Areas are connected, supported, and represented.
