DoDEA’s 2023-2024 online Excess Placement Program Application for Overseas employees is now available and will remain open until Friday, January 6. All Overseas employees in FEA’s bargaining unit who were notified by DoDEA of their Excess status should complete the application by 5pm ET on Friday to list your preferences for location placements and teaching categories.  Only excessed educators identified by their principals can participate in the Excess Placement Program.

DoDEA has provided the following guidance for accessing the application system:to access the Excess Placement Application, please navigate to https://intranet.ds.dodea.edu/ExcessPlacement/login/login_Teacher.cfm using MS Edge.” Please note ‘MS Edge’ refers to the internet browser Microsoft Edge.

As a service to our members, FEA will verify that an excessed member’s application is included in the placement program. Members who wish to take advantage of this service should send a PDF version of their FINAL submitted application to FEA staffer Robert Forristal at [email protected] by 4PM ET on Friday, January 6.

FEA President Brian Chance will be at DoDEA Headquarters throughout the Excess Placement program and will use the PDFs sent to us to verify members’ inclusion. The Excess placement program is scheduled to be planned from January 12-13 with notices of placements expected to begin going out around from January 17-19.

Eligible Excess employees may use the online application to list, in priority order, the teaching categories for which they are qualified and wish to be considered and their desired geographic placement preferences.
