DoDEA Gets Exemption from Hiring Freeze UPDATE

GREAT NEWS! We have received word that DoDEA has been granted an exemption from the federal hiring freeze. This hopefully means DoDEA will soon be able to start filling existing vacancies, as well as plan for the start of next school year.

As you know, FEA and NEA have been pushing for this exemption for some time. In fact, notice of this exemption came to us almost immediately after we sent members information on how they could write to Congress over the issue.

Details of the exemption are still incomplete at this time but we wanted to let members know the good news right away and we will continue to report on this as more details become available to us.
