The current FEA State Human and Civil Rights (HCR) Coordinator has indicated she will be stepping down from her position. Under the FEA Constitution, the FEA Board of Directors is tasked with appointing a replacement to complete the current term for the HCR Coordinator, which will end on August 1, 2022.
Any FEA Active member who would like to be considered for appointment to the State HCR Coordinator position for the remainder of the current term should complete the showing of interest form available here.
The deadline to submit the form is 11:59pm ET on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Active members who indicate their interest by the deadline will be reviewed by the FEA Board of Directors with a replacement State HCR Coordinator expected to be appointed in early February.
The person appointed by the FEA Board to fill this vacancy will be a voting member of the FEA Board of Directors and fulfill all duties of the FEA Human and Civil Rights Coordinator, as defined by the FEA Constitution.
The FEA Constitution tasks the FEA State Human and Civil Rights Coordinator with the following responsibilities:
The HCR Coordinator shall:
a. Represent minority members’ interests in the FEA;
b. Assist in coordinating and implementing Association policies to encourage minority membership and leadership roles in FEA;
c. Present concerns of minority members to the FEA leadership;
d. Hold no other executive office in the Association
