Autopay

Thank you for your interest in signing up for AutoPay.

To protect your membership and your union, FEA is asking all members to authorize payment of dues directly through AutoPay Automatic Dues Payment, which utilizes Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), payments tied to your bank account.

When you switch to AutoPay, your financial information will be securely stored in your membership record. If you currently utilize payroll deduction to pay your Association dues, your dues will continue to be deducted from your paycheck through the remainder of the current school year unless the federal government eliminates payroll deduction as an option, at which time FEA will ensure that your payment method will be seamlessly shifted to EFT. Prior to that happening, FEA will remind you that this will occur and provide notice about the details of your payment schedule.

AutoPay is a way for FEA members to pay Association dues with EFT payments, rather than payroll deduction through DoDEA, or via personal check or cash payments.

This page will help you switch to EFT payment of your Association dues in the future.

How To Sign Up For AutoPay
  • Use the link below to go to the NEA AutoPay site, where you will enter your information and make the switch to AutoPay. The entire process usually takes less than five minutes.
  • If you are currently paying Association dues via payroll deduction you will remain on payroll deduction for the remainder of this school year unless those deductions are halted by the government. If that should happen, you will be switched to the AutoPay EFT payments for any remaining dues balance you owe this school year.
Answers to Some Common Questions About AutoPay

Q: Why should I switch to AutoPay?

Signing up now for AutoPay protects you against the threat of payroll deductions being halted in the future. If you are presently paying your Association dues via payroll deduction, those payroll deductions will continue for the remainder of this school year, unless the government takes action in the future to halt them. Your payment method would be switched to EFT for next school year or, if payroll deductions are halted by the government this school year, you would be changed to EFT payment for any remaining dues balance you owe this school year.

Q: What are the payment options under AutoPay?

Participants who enroll in AutoPay will need to use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), payments tied to their bank account.

Q: Can I use my credit card?

No. AutoPay for FEA members must be set up with or switched to EFT payments tied to your bank account. To pay in installments, be sure to select the “Bank Account” option showing multiple payments instead of one annual payment.

Q: Can I enroll as a new FEA member using AutoPay?

If you are seeking to join the Federal Education Association for the first time, welcome! The AutoPay system is unable to process new memberships. Please consult your FRS/Building Representative for information on how to join.

Q: Do I have to sign up for AutoPay every year?

No. Like the payroll deduction system through the government, your AutoPay payments will be set up as recurring payments. You will be emailed a notice before a new school year’s payments begin, informing you of any changes to dues amounts and providing information on how to make changes to or end your AutoPay deductions.

Q: Do I need to submit form SF 1188 to halt my payroll deductions after I enroll in AutoPay?

No. If the government takes action to end payroll deduction as an option, your dues payments through payroll deduction would be halted automatically. If you are currently paying your Association dues via payroll deduction, you will not be billed this school year for dues via EFT unless the government takes action to end payroll deduction as an option.
