Overseas Bargaining Update #10
November 24, 2020
FEA and DoDEA recently completed 30 days of renegotiations on a successor Overseas contract but the two sides remain at impasse on a number of issues, including DoDEA's efforts to lengthen the duty day. The FEA members who comprise our bargaining team again did a fantastic job articulating the priorities and concerns of their fellow educators.
DoDEA has petitioned the Federal Service Impasses Panel (FSIP) to again assert jurisdiction and issue a ruling on proposals for the Overseas contract on which the parties have not reached agreement.
FEA remains committed to working out a fair and positive negotiated agreement for our Overseas members; one that will protect and enhance the quality of our schools rather than diminish that quality.
We will continue to update our members as new developments in the Overseas contract bargaining process take place.
