3. Fall FRS Training: Attached are training dates and locations for FRS training in the fall. More information will be forthcoming in August/September.

4. Colleague Support: At this time, in what has been a very long year, it is increasingly difficult to maintain our focus, not only on our students, but on our fellow teachers. It is more evident than ever before that we need to work together, with a strong voice and purpose, for not only our students, but each other. In doing so, we will continue to provide the best educational system possible for our students and the best working conditions for our teachers. We have approximately 250 teachers in Europe affected by retirements, school closures, management directed moves, etc. Please take the time to give everyone the support they need, and the same will be done for you.

5. Final Update of the Year: Barring any late-breaking news, this will be the final update for this school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have worked so diligently this year for our members.

First of all, a HUGE thank you to all of the FRSs and FRs who support our teachers at the local level. The FRSs and FRs are vitally important to our organization, so please take an opportunity to say thank you to those who serve in these positions in your school. Thank you also to the local association officers in the various complexes throughout Europe.

Many thanks to my fellow FEA Europe Area Director, Alex Veto. Alex has spent many hours, tirelessly working for our members. I would also like to thank the other members of the European Area Council: Nancy Almendras, Heidelberg District, Anita Lang, Isles District, Terese Sarno, Kaiserslautern District, Terry McClain, Bavaria District, and Linda Ware-Brown, European Human and Civil Rights Coordinator. They have helped me tremendously.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to our Washington office, which provides valuable resources for not only me, but our members.

I thank those in management who have worked cooperatively with FEA to solve problems.

But, most of all, I thank YOU, our members. FEA's strength lies in our members, so thank you for your participation and support.

Have a wonderful summer. I look forward to working with you again in the fall.
